#21: Guess What?!

It's December 1st and today, is the Official Public Viewing of iMakeupGuru! 4 posts have recently been added by beauty bloggers around the internet, and more will come soon! I hope you all enjoy this amazing new experience and I will continue to post frequently.

On another note...

I would like to tell you the answer to the trivia.
Q: What is the color of the year?

Tangerine Tango has been seen as the theme color for many weddings, parties, and just plain ol' color schemes for outfits. Many websites have even declared Tangerine Tango as the color of the year, also.

Onto more interesting news...

Christmas is in 24 days!!!
That means that every day up until Christmas, I will post something to help you prepare for this amazing holiday! I don't mean like my previous preps. I'm talking about where to get the best ornaments, Christmas trees, presents, clothes, hats, gloves, jewelry, cookies, and carrots (those reindeer need to eat food, too!)

So stay tuned every day to read about the awesome Christmas posts and get in touch with your inner Holiday Spirit!

#20: Peace Love and SHOES!

Hope you guys all had a successful Black Friday and Small Business Saturday (as mentioned on Aisles of Beauty). In spite of all the shopping rage, I began thinking; How well do I really know my shoes? I'm not just talking designer, like the difference of a Jimmy Choo and Alexander Wang, I mean style. What's the difference of a Slingback and Ankle Strap? Mary Jane and D'Orsay? I never really gave any of this a thought, so I did researched, categorized my shoes (I have a lot of time on my hands), and put together a little video showing the different styles of shoes with a mini test at the end. Trust me, this video will be plenty helpful for anyone new (or old) to the world of shoes!

#19: Yum Yum Turkey and Black Friday

I am thankful for...

Life
Love
Fashion
Sephora
Forever 21
Turkey
Food
Clothes
Shoes
Black Friday
Peace
Happiness
Family
Friends
AND MY FABULOUS BLOG READERS!

That's right, Thanksgiving is in full swing and I can't wait to sink my teeth into the delicious cranberry sauce and turkey in 1 hour. The suspense is killing me! I hope you all used my Thanksgiving Outfit Prep  today because if you did, then you probably look GORGEOUS!

In other news, TOMORROW IS THE BIGGEST SHOPPING DAY OF THE YEAR BECAUSE ITS BLACK FRIDAY!!! I'm super excited because I've spent time saving up and prepping for the extraordinary day! In recognition of tomorrow, I would like to help you guys do last minute prepping for Black Friday Madness! (unless your already camped out by the mall...)

1. Prices, Prices, Prices, and Organization! Everything you buy will generally be half off, so if your planning on Christmas shopping or just wardrobe shopping, FIND OUT THE PRICES BEFOREHAND. I have made this mistake many times so I know how important it is to know exactly what your grabbing at in the midst of all the chaos. When you go shopping tomorrow, you will leave each store with a lot more than you planned, and that could limit the amount of deals you can take advantage of at other stores. so always bring double the amount of money required because by the end of the day, you'll realize that your pockets will be nearly empty if you don't follow this crucial rule!!!

2. Shop in clusters.  This really does help. Let's say you have a long list of must-have items that your determined to bring home by the end of the day. If you shop for items with your friends in a group, each of you will have help from the other to find everything. That way when you leave your fave store, you'll all have exactly what you need in a quarter of the time. I do this every year and it is effective because when you combine your lists together and divide them up between each other equally, you'll have a lot less items to handle so you can focus on each sale with your undivided attention. Quick Tip: When summoning your group, texting is simple, but I believe handheld blow horns are much more effective.

3. Plot! Map out all the places your going to clear out in order so that your mind isn't like, "Sephora, then Char.. wait no I should probably go to rue 21, but wet seal might be faster...no no I should stop by Nordstrom to get those shoes before someone else..." Not plotting is very disorganized. The first store you go to should be the place with the most wanted item, because the hot items go by extremely fast and you might be disappointed when your favorite Jimmy Choos at Saks Fifth Avenue are all gone by the end of the day. Also, a lot of items are damaged during this major event, so remember the items that are most important to you and get them A.S.A.P!

I have lots more tips for you guys, but the cranberry sauce is definitely calling my name and I reeeaally want some. I can't tell you where to shop for your deals because that's up to you, but I can say that one of my favorite stores, Forever XXI is having some good sales tomorrow! Good luck in filling those carts and I hope you find everything your looking for! Email me the greatest deals and all the great items you get tomorrow. I CAN'T WAIT!

#18: Thanksgiving Outfit Prep

I hope you all had a lovely week, but I know I haven't.  Instead of shopping at my favorite stores today, I was home, sick, and tired. I'm planning on being at my best by Monday because I have some surprises I want to release by then. But enough pity for myself. I'm here to give you what you came here for: fashion forward findings.
Thanksgiving is on its way but what ever are you going to wear!? Well, your outfits are supposed to be unique, so I'll only give you tips to help you create your masterpiece.

1. Color Scheme: When you think of Thanksgiving, you think of warmth by the hearth, food, family, and the colors brown, beige, orange, yellow, and subtle, very subtle red. When creating the perfect Thanksgiving ensemble, you need to incorporate at least two of these key colors in your outfit to give it that end of autumn but beginning of winter feel. I think every Thanksgiving outfit needs a little brown or beige to complement each and every color.

2. Jewelry: You wouldn't want to be caught dead in a boring and unflattering ensemble, now would you? Exactly. So to add some chic to your creation and find some precious jewels to make your outfit pop. A necklace or bracelet here and there doesn't harm anyone!
3. Feathers Feathers Feathers: Now, you don't want to end up looking like livestock so I suggest a simple feather in the hair or headband with a feathery bow. Feathers really set the theme for this occasion so a couple in the hair, bracelet, or on earrings would make your look stylish and lovin' the holiday spirit!

I hope these 3 tips make you give a second thought about your Thanksgiving skirt or blouse because this is a holiday you should remember as also being best dressed. If your gonna celebrate your favorite holiday, you might as well look good!

Monday's post will also be very helpful in preparing for the feast of the season! Give thanks, greet family, and have a good time!

Ciao!

Tanks, camis, t-shirts, jewelry, crop tops, skirts, purses, hats, and a ton more! Betcha there's a crop top with your name on it! Do not miss out on this amazing deal. Most things at American Eagle Outfitters goes well over $20 so take advantage of this clearance sale and shop 'till you drop!

DOUBLE-DEAL! ONLINE + IN-STORE: I am definitely going to be placing an order both online and at the in-store register at Charlotte Russe when I go shopping, and here's why:
* 40% off blazers and jackets
* $15 stunning dresses
* $5 dazzling jewelry
* Free shippping
* $15 stellar heels
... and more! All these deals, I mean, who could resist?!

OTHER LOCATIONS WITH LOW PRICES THIS SEASON

Wet Seal
Express

(If you see a next to a store then that means there is a major online and/or in-store sale happening now for a limited time.)

I hope my little reminder of this seasons' latest deals entices you to start looking for some sales yourself. If you do find some fabulous sales that I haven't yet considered, please comment or email me everything. I'm glad to help but remember this one simple rule:

"Don't procrastinate! Get out and get shopping!"
